Morgan Stanley projects $4 billion savings from Amazon automation
Morgan Stanley estimates Amazon’s robotics rollout could yield $2–4 billion in annual savings by 2027 as automation expands across its fulfillment network, Investing.com reports. Analyst Brian Nowak said Amazon plans around 40 next-generation robotic warehouses handling 10 percent of global units, improving fulfillment efficiency by up to 40 percent. The initiative may also eliminate 160,000 US warehouse hires. While growth at AWS, the company’s cloud business, remains the key stock catalyst, Morgan Stanley highlighted retail automation as a major efficiency driver, according to the report.
Noetix unveils $1,370 humanoid robot for consumers
Chinese startup Noetix Robotics introduced Bumi, a 94cm humanoid robot weighing 12 kg and priced below 10,000 yuan ($1,370), marking one of the first affordable high-performance consumer humanoids, TechNode reports. Built with lightweight composites and a proprietary motion control system, Bumi can walk and perform actions like dancing. Targeted at education and home markets, it offers an open programming interface, with preorders launching between China’s Double 11 and Double 12 shopping festivals.
Unitree unveils H2 humanoid robot with advanced motion control
Chinese robotics company Unitree introduced the H2 humanoid robot, a 182 cm, 70 kg model built from aircraft-grade aluminum, titanium alloy, and high-strength plastics, Robotics and Automation News reports. Powered by high-speed motors delivering up to 360 Nm torque, the H2 features 31 degrees of freedom, a bionic head, and multiple hand options. It supports vision and voice interaction, AI processing via Jetson AGX Thor, and runs three hours per charge. The H2 and H2 EDU target research and education.
Oso Electric acquires Electric Sheep to scale AI mowing tech
Oso Electric Equipment has acquired Electric Sheep Robotics, combining Oso’s electric powertrain systems with Electric Sheep’s AI-driven autonomous mowing robots, according to The Robot Report. The merger aims to accelerate automation across outdoor industries while expanding zero-emission equipment deployments in California and Texas. Electric Sheep, founded in 2019 and an RBR50 Innovation Award winner, brings its ES1 AI model and RAM and Verdie robots to the partnership, enabling adaptive, hands-free, and sustainable lawn-care and infrastructure solutions.
