Robotics investments reach $4.35 billion in July 2025
Global robotics companies raised at least $4.35 billion across 93 funding rounds in July 2025, led by the U.S. ($1.8B) and China ($1B), according to The Robot Report. Geekplus marked the first warehouse AMR firm IPO, raising $281M in Hong Kong. Notable deals included Israel’s Mobileye ($825M post-IPO) and significant early-stage funding for Genesis AI and Galaxea AI, reflecting a vibrant startup ecosystem.
RealMan opens humanoid robotics data center in Beijing
RealMan Robotics has launched a 3,000 sqm Humanoid Robotics Data Training Center in Beijing, featuring 108 robots across real-world scenarios like eldercare and automotive assembly, Robotics Tomorrow reports. The facility addresses key bottlenecks in real-world robotics data, focusing on multimodal data generation and commercialization. The launch included the RealBOT Open Platform for embodied intelligence and plans for global, industry-academia collaboration to accelerate adoption.
ACSL launches TAITEN controller and thermal tech, partners with FLIR
ACSL unveiled its NDAA-compliant TAITEN smart drone controller, featuring a 7-inch display, IP54 weather resistance, and full SOTEN drone compatibility, the Japanese company said in a press release. The SAMO thermal payload now adds a 64MP camera, radiometric imaging, 20X zoom, and will gain FLIR’s MSX® Fusion for clearer images. ACSL is collaborating with Teledyne FLIR to expand advanced thermal drone offerings for safety and industrial sectors.

Blue Water Autonomy raises $50 million Series A led by GV for unmanned ships
Blue Water Autonomy, a Boston-based technology and shipbuilding company, announced $50 million in Series A funding led by GV, with participation from Eclipse, Riot, and Impatient Ventures, bringing total raised to $64 million, the company said in a press release. The funding will build and deploy its first large, long-range autonomous ship next year. The team has quadrupled since the seed round, completed engineering tests, and started material acquisition. Unmanned ships are designed for maritime security, logistics, and eventual commercial markets.
